How to Use Icinginks™ Edible Frosting Sheets

Versatile Applications: Our edible frosting sheets are perfect for enhancing a variety of treats and surfaces. Here’s how to use them:

• Fondant: Lightly brush water on the area where you want to place the image. Avoid excess water outside the image area to prevent marks on the fondant.
• Cookies: Secure your edible image paper using edible glue, regular icing, frosting, royal icing, or a mixture of corn syrup thinned with a bit of water.
• Oreo Cookies: Apply a thin layer of corn syrup mixed with water to the cookie, then place the edible frosting sheet on top.
• Hard Candy Lollipops: Lightly coat the lollipop with corn syrup diluted with water, then apply the image.
• Buttercream: Ideal for buttercream frosting, providing a smooth surface for your designs.
• Whipped Cream: Apply the image as close to serving time as possible to prevent bleeding. If needed, a thin layer of buttercream beneath the image can help reduce fading.

• Printing: Print your desired image using an Icinginks edible ink printer. Allow the printed sheet to dry for 3-5 minutes before handling.

How to Apply Edible Images:

1. Preparation: Keep the plastic backing on until after printing. To release the image, hold the corners (image facing up) and gently roll it across a sharp edge of a tabletop.
2. Adhering: Ensure the icing or frosting is moist. If it’s dry, lightly mist with water before applying the image.
3. Placement: Using clean, dry hands, place the edible frosting sheet onto the cake or treat, starting from the center and smoothing outwards to avoid air bubbles.
4. Setting: Let the edible sheet sit for 20-30 minutes to allow it to blend seamlessly with the surface.

Important Tips:

• Plastic Backing: Never remove the plastic backing before printing.
• Water Contact: Avoid contact with water before or after application to prevent bleeding and melting.
• Backing Sheet Issues: If the backing is difficult to remove:
• Use a hairdryer on the reverse side of the sheet for 30-40 seconds.
• Hold the sheet over steam from a pot of hot water for a few seconds.

Storage Instructions:
