  • Use Metallic Pure Gold Edible Art Paint for decorating cakes, cookies, cupcakes and other sweet confections.
  • These Metallic Edible Paints prefer wide, flat brushes with soft bristles
  • Have hot soapy water and paper towels on hand. When done with one color, wash your brush gently and dry at once with a paper towel; you can also wash the brush with dishwashing liquid in your hand, then rinse with hot water
  • Do not use these metallic paints on Italian or Swiss meringue buttercream as these surfaces keep the paints from air-drying and leave them in liquid form.
  • Don’t load your brush with too much paint — it’s easier to build up the color than take it away. If another coat is needed (depending on your desired color), wait for the first coat to dry; thick coats of paint will take much longer to dry.
  • This paint is designed to be used straight from the bottle. You can add a drop of 95-percent high-grade alcohol to thin the paint when needed.

Icinginks Edible Art Decorative Paint is a great range of revolutionary paints perfect for painting details on cookies,  cake pops, icing, gum paste, and fondant that has been given time to set/dry or form a crust. With a unique blend of 100% edible ingredients they can paint, dry, and be rub-free on many surfaces making cake decorating quicker, easier, and more effective. Our paints take away the need to mix lustre and alcohol together that makes one big mess most of the time and money. Simply shake, pour & paint. - Fondant- Buttercream cakes (chilled) NOT swiss meringue buttercream.

Edible Art Paint is gluten, dairy, soy, and peanut-free. Vegan product. Contains Alcohol.

Edible Art Paint works beautifully on Fondant, Crusting Buttercream, Royal Icing, Chocolate Ganache,  Modeling Chocolate, Gold/Silver Leaf, Marshmallows, Sugar Cookies, Deco Magic/Gel, Tempered Chocolate, Candy Melts, Chocolate Chips,  Confectionary And more!

Our edible paint can be applied using many different techniques including brushes for detailed work. We recommend using a quality sable brush or sponge. Sponge work also looks great on buttercream, fondant, and royal icing. The paint is ready to use from the bottle, so there is no need to thin it out or mix it with any other ingredients. Once applied, it dries rub-free and the pigment is sealed within the surface – no dust or smudges. If you require a watercolor effect, you can achieve that by adding cake decorators alcohol (high-grade 95-percent alcohol) to your palette.

Shake well before and during use. Alternatively, you can open the lid and give it a stir.

Tips before you start with Edible Art Decorative Paint:

SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE! There’s a whole lot of lustre in that bottle! If paint is transparent, keep shaking

  • Tip 1: Shake the bottle well, to ensure the solid and liquid ingredients mix together to form an even consistency to paint with; you can also open the bottle and give the mixture a stir with the end of your paintbrush before shaking; shake the bottle each time before you use the paint, including between sessions; if your paint is transparent it means the ingredients haven’t mixed together
  • Tip 2: Take the time to play with your paints, become familiar with them; each color has different pigmentation, so get a feel for each color; edible surfaces are all different, so also play with the paint on different painting surfaces; the edible paints can be applied to fondant, crusted buttercream cakes (chilled), sugar cookies, marshmallows, confectionery,  ganache, modeling chocolate, macarons and fruit. Do not use these metallic paints on Italian or Swiss meringue buttercream as these surfaces keep the paints from air-drying and leave them in liquid form.
  • Tip 3: Edible Art edible paint can be applied using many different techniques, including brushes for detailed work. The manufacturer recommends these Metallic Paints prefer wide, flat brushes with soft bristles
  • Tip 4: Have hot soapy water and paper towels on hand. When done with one color, wash your brush gently and dry at once with a paper towel; you can also wash the brush with dishwashing liquid in your hand, then rinse with hot water

HOW TO USE EDIBLE PAINTS :

  • Tip 1: Less is more, so don’t load your brush with too much paint; it’s easier to build up the color than take it away; if a second coat is needed (depending on your desired color), wait for the first coat to dry; thick coats of paint will take much longer to dry; Tip 2. This paint is designed to be used straight from the bottle; you can add a drop of 95 percent high-grade alcohol to thin the paint when needed

Drying the paints:

  • Tip 2: . Wait 24 hours for these paints to air-dry; conditions like temperature and higher humidity can affect the drying process tremendously, so please allow time for this too; a fan can be used to speed the drying process; if paints aren’t air dried correctly, you may be left with a bitter taste; please note what these paints can paint on before you begin; Tip 2. When using these paints on Buttercream, allow time for drying before placing the cake back in the fridge

NOTE: Keep away from children (in liquid form) and store in a dry cool place.

These metallic colors give a shiny look to cakes and cookies. Burnt Bronze is my favorite color and my bottle is almost finished. Will order it again. Icinginks, please create a set of burnt bronze.
