What Are The Components, Qualities, and Uses of High-Quality Edible Papers?

You can print edible icing sheets and wafer papers using Icinginks specialized edible printers and edible inks. Edible papers can be applied to all types of cake icings. There are different types of edible papers available in the market. Our frosting papers are extra special due to their easy-to-use nature and super white surface, best suitable for any edible print. Icinginks frosting sheets’ texture is much softer and produces very vibrant colors when printed with Icinginks edible ink.


What Is Edible Paper?


An edible paper is a fundamental material for Edible Ink Printing.

It is available in different thicknesses and sizes.

It is known as Frosting Sheets and Wafer Papers in the local markets.

It is useful for inkjet Edible Ink Printers.

It can be cut, stored, and printed easily.

It is safe for consumption.



What Are The Ingredients Of Edible Papers?


Icinginks Rice Papers/ Edible Wafer sheets are made of potato starch, water, and vegetable oil.

Icinginks Frosting Sheets/ Sugar Papers are made of layers of icing are pressed thinly onto backing plastic sheets.

Our edible sheets contain FDA-approved Kosher ingredients only.


Advantages Of The Edible Papers:


Stability: The stability of the Edible Papers, especially wafer sheets, offers several advantages for handling, storing, and printing. Edible Paper is stable until it comes in contact with water. Therefore, it is generally stored under moisture-free conditions for greater durability and most preferably under refrigeration for longer life.

Can be cut and folded easily: An Edible Paper is easy to cut or fold for decorating foodstuffs. 3D floral designs can be made out of it using scissors or paper cutters.

Slow dissolving property: The sugar papers slowly dissolve when placed on a moistened surface of a cake. The covering at the top of the dessert must not be too wet to mix the inks of the image on it.

Appealing consistency and taste: The pleasing texture & consistency of the Edible Paper provide a taste similar to artificial cream when eaten. Wafer Papers are usually tasteless while Frosting Sheets may have a delicious sweet flavor.



How To Use An Edible Paper For Cake Decoration?


You may print Selfies or any image of a digital file on the edible sheets using edible printers and edible inks.

Use a pre-cut single circle Frosting Sheet to get an Edible Cake Topper.

You may copy floral designs on it. Cut it and shape it to make 3D Edible Flowers.

A pre-cut Circle Frosting Sheet with 6/12/15 Circles is an excellent material for styling cupcakes, cookies, and marshmallows fast.

Cut the shapes of Butterflies, Hearts, Thumbs Ups, or Animal Characters out of a Wafer Paper and color it with Edible Ink Markers.

Make Banners from the Edible Paper to write impressive slogans or wishes on it.


Tip To Use Edible Papers:


The backing layer of the edible frosting sheet is a transparent film of plastic that is not edible. Once the sheet is printed let the frosting sheet dry for at least 3-5 minutes. If the backing paper does not peel off easily, place the printed frosting sheet in a freezer for about 10 seconds or put it in an oven at low temperature for 1-2 minutes and then lay the icing sheet on top of your cake where it will absorb into the frosting leaving a seamless image on your cake. If you apply a Wafer Paper then, you have no requirement to do so as it never contains a backside layer of plastic.
